Limit Distractions
🌻 Seeking a true spiritual pathway means deflecting everyday distractions and focusing on the inward journey.
No matter what are our intentions may be, we cannot control everything that happens. However, all too often (myself included); we allow situations and distractions outside of our control affect us as if we somehow alter the outcome. We tend to overthink our desires for something we imagine is better. We quickly become anxious about loss and tragedy we see far away from our actual life. (Please note there is a big difference between empathy and being dragged into worrying about the earthquake toll somewhere on the planet). We create a cycle of anxiety, even if we are safe from harm.
We see the same problems everywhere: antidepressant medication is rife with so many people stressed out; they are not enjoying the fruits of this life. Life has turned sour for them. They cannot find peace, calm, love in their hearts and often make themselves, and others, miserable. Everyday distractions have taken control.
Long Term Stress
Being immersed in everyday distractions leads to long term stress and can lead to mental weakness and instability, which may create serious health problems in the future. Naturally, some things happen, and it’s impossible not to be concerned. If you’re affected by a natural disaster, your inner calm will be disturbed.
It doesn’t matter how stress enters your life if external activities disturb you frequently, eventually you will overload your nervous system.
Stressful situations often arise in places that don’t even exist in our physical world, and they arrive from the digital world. This adds more tension and pressure; people become even more distracted and pulled in different directions. We even find ourselves reacting and posting things on social media that we may not usually think nor say. People become critical and angry.
Here on our sacred pathway, we are inwardly seeking. The spiritual process happens within you. It happens silently. Many people do not understand this.

“To an Earthkeeper, love is not a feeling or something you barter with. Love is the essence of who you are, and it radiates from you as a brilliant aura: You become love, practice fearlessness, and attain enlightenment.” – Alberto Villoldo, PhD
Be kind to yourself as you shift to living your higher purpose leaving everyday distractions behind.
